Travel & Stay
Getting to Mobile
Three airports serve the weekend. Pick on price and how far you want to drive.
The closest airport. It is the smallest with the fewest flights and usually the priciest fares — but the least hassle once you land.
Often more flights and better fares than Mobile. Rent a car and make the easy drive west on Interstate 10.
The most flights and usually the cheapest fares. Drive in, or take the new Amtrak train straight into downtown Mobile (below).
The new Amtrak Mardi Gras line runs New Orleans to downtown Mobile — about 3 hours 45 minutes, twice daily, with fares from about $15. It drops you right downtown, no rental car needed. Book at amtrak.com.
Where to stay
Four downtown hotels, all walkable to the ceremony and reception. Two have wedding blocks open now; two more are on the way.
A few blocks to both the Cathedral and the Exploreum.
Directly across from the Exploreum reception; about a 10-minute walk to the Cathedral.
A few blocks to both venues.
Our room block here is still being set up. Feel free to book on your own if you find a good rate — we’ll post the block rate once it’s ready.
Book direct on Hilton.com →A couple of blocks to both venues.

Things to do
If you’re making a trip of it, a few local favorites.
Dress Code
Garden Formal
Think: floaty florals, linen suits, jewel tones, something you can dance in. Heels are optional — we've been to the Exploreum, they will sink into the rubber matting.
Mass etiquette: shoulders covered for the ceremony (a shawl works). Cathedral floors are tile.
Registry
Your presence is the present. But if you'd like to contribute, here are a few places we've set up.
We’re still putting our registry together — check back a little later and it’ll be right here.
FAQ
Can I bring a plus-one?
Yes! Please add their name on the RSVP below.
Are kids welcome?
Yes, absolutely!
Can I request a song? Multiple songs?
Yes please do! The RSVP form has a song request field for DJ Rodski, but requests go through Rico first so if you ask for something ridiculous Rico's gonna veto it 😋
Photos on social media?
After the ceremony, please post away and tag #JicoJazzFestival. During the ceremony, no phones please. We're paying a photographer and a videographer to handle it so we can all be present for an hour without Mark Zuckerberg intruding on us.
